Due to the rumors, people started to avoid CBD even if they have not found any harmful properties themselves. Word of mouth travels a lot faster and people believe in every word they listen. With all concerns, people are looking towards the narrative of the World Health Organization. They want to know whether these speculations are true or are it just a myth.
WHO took a firm stance in favor of CBD declaring it as a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. It is safe and legal to use and well-tolerated in humans without inducing any adverse effects. The main reason for this was CBD does not contain any psychoactive properties. So, as per their research, there was no evidence found where CBD can use as a recreational drug as it cannot induce high state. THC and CBD are totally different with different properties. Although they both are extracted from the same cannabis plant the effects they can induce on the human body are different.
In WHO reports, they clearly stated that they found no case where people suffered health problems by consuming pure CBD or people are using CBD to get themselves intoxicated. Furthermore, they supported CBD by suggesting that CBD can mitigate the harmful effects of THC and help people to recover from substance abuse. With that much said, they indicated that more research will be initiated soon to work on the positive effects of CBD and how it can be used in the field of medicine. The team also hinted that CBD can play a pivoting role in dealing with different diseases and provide groundbreaking solutions to modern health issues.
Considering WHO discoveries, different countries including the United Kingdom changed their controls to allow the use of CBD as a medicinal product. However, until further discoveries into this matter, only controlled use of CBD is allowed with strict conditions. However, researchers and experts pondered on the point that every manufacturer does not follow the strict guidelines to provide 100% authentic and genuine products. So, you need to be extra careful before buying anything online as not everyone is using pure CBD extracts. WHO also cleared the point where people reporting negative reactions of pure CBD. Drug-Drug interaction is another factor that can contribute to negative effects that cannot be neglected. So, if you are under any medication, you might want to consult with your doctor before administering any CBD.
Addiction possibility was also ruled out by the World Health Organization. The WHO mentioned that no such cases were found where people were addicted to CBD. THC dependency is another thing, but no evidence was found related to CBD dependency. With the endorsement of WHO and extensive research, the future of the CBD industry is looking bright.
